Grace, a fellow member of the hockey club, despite being someone well in youth of me, (and far better at hockey than me!) was an inspiration, a true talent, and a big name for all the right reasons across the club, with a contagious smile. I did not know Barnaby, although from my friends in the cricket community I have heard nothing but words of such a pure hearted boy, a pleasure to be around and have as a mate. It is crazy to think it sometimes takes something like this to wake up the pure love of the community that surrounds us all, making us all realise the value and fragility of the life’s and bonds we have. Since, I cherish every moment and second greater than I have before, through the confusion, heartbreak and grief, i love greater and am more in tune with expressing this, for that, through this all, is where i see hope. My elder son went to Nottingham university and used to lived a very short walk from the road where this tragedy happened.
